it's a very simple study which looks at at the effect different tribal values have on New Zealanders' attitudes and choices.
From time to time we ask different questions, but they all relate to tribal opinions and preferences. Simple things like Do you love the All Blacks. . more complicated things like . . How do you decide that someone is trustworthy? Or . .what countries can New Zealand learn from?.
We then collate the responses of members of the same tribe so we can learn more about what's typical and what's not.
We don't gather personal information or pass on information about individuals or email addresses to third parties.
So far we've learned that the Balclutha tribe particularly dislikes office politics, the Raglan tribe is drawn to work that offers both camaraderie and challenge while Grey Lynn's much more focused on mental stimulation than the other two. Strange but true!

The Details:-
- To participate in this project you need to send us an email, registering your interest. In return we'll send you a link to an online questionnaire which you can download, complete and send back to us.
- The questionnaire will be no more than one A4 page and take as little as five minutes - a few more if you're very motivated. No more than fifteen. .
- It's not necessary to identify yourself or to provide any personal information
- though if multiple people used your email address to complete their profile it would be pretty useful to have your first name.
- And if you did multiple profiles for this email address we'll be using the most recent - just in case you want to try again.
- Everyone who participates in the study is eligible for a copy of our book - 8 Tribes : the hidden classes of New Zealand.
