Right for the Times 2009 Travel Report

Travel is tribal. And the rules have changed dramatically in the economic downturn. For some people it's all about the destination. For others it's the journey that matters. For almost everyone, it's about value for money - whatever that means to them.

Selecting from a wide range of evidence we explain the patterns of travel preference both for travel within New Zealand and overseas

Windshift's 2009 Travel Report analyses data from the following questions:-

  • Brands that are Right for the Times
  • Travel destinations that are Right for the Times
  • Inter-city, Inter-island & overseas travel in last 12 months [any]
  • Journey style preferences
  • Destination style preferences

The primary analysis is tribal - the use of our 8 Tribes research method to identify distinctive patterns and preferences. However, we also investigate how individual shopping and spending strategies [hunting strategies], demographic indicators and media use profiles intersect with this information.

This 2009 study is the precursor to a dedicated 2010 Right for the Times Travel study. Subscribers to this year's report will receive a discount on the cost of the 2010 subscription PLUS the opportunity to shape the questions we ask in that study.

Presentations with reports are priced at $4200.00 plus GST & expenses or $2400 plus GST for the report alone.
